Folding Sprint ICF Kayak
The first folding Sprint kayak in the world, according to the latest ICF building rules, was developed by
Birgit Fischer with French folding kayak manufacturer Faltboot Nautiraid. The idea for a folding sprint kayak belonged to Birgit
Fischer - a legend of kayak sport, who won a record 8 gold medals over a 6 different Olympic Games.
Folding kayaks are spacious
and secure which allows them to be stowed in the smallest possible space. This kayak serves as a universal and easy to transport kayak.
It weighs only about 13.5 kg., so one can tighten their kayak in a 104x40x10 cm large backpack. The frame of the kayak is made of
aluminum with molded High Density Polyethylene.
The surface of the boat consists of Nautilon boot with reinforced fabric.
The boat
skin closed after the construction with a waterproof zipper.
Handling characteristics are very close to the traditional Sprint kayak,
but boat is designed as a training boat for those who want to be mobile and do not want to abandon your exercise!
The manufacturer
describes it as "a milestone in the history of kayaking and high-tech sports equipment“. Birgit Fischer praises this Sprint
folding kayak, that glides beautifully, has super handling and very stable.
